Gesti semplici, minimali, quasi intimi. Per lo più eseguiti manipolando oggetti che connotano la nostra quotidianità. Lo spazio che ci circonda trasfigura. C’è una intenzionalità che rivela ciò che non era mai apparso prima: la forma del sole, lo spessore dell’aria, la relazione tra le cose, le storie dell’anima. Paradossali, surreali, spontanei. Trasformazioni che durano il guitto di un raggio di sole riflesso da uno specchietto sulla facciata di un edificio, o il lancio di un sassolino dentro la casella di una campana disegnata a terra. Altalene che dondolano ritmicamente come codice morse visuale. Un paesaggio nomade di soffi di vento imprigionati in capsule trasparenti. Gesti semplici, minimali, quasi intimi. Atti liberatori. Che svaniscono nel momento in cui si compiono. E tutti questi momenti andranno persi nel tempo come lacrime nella pioggia…

Gran Touristas

GranTouristas is the digital layer of the Italian Pavilion at the 2012 Venice Architecture Biennale; a community of thousands of participants that aggregates around social media with the aim of sharing a common imaginary and to generate collective and collaborative creative intentions between digital and analog. In other words GranTouristas is a jouney in Italy meeting interesting people working on new architectures. GranTouristas is by Daniele Mancini, Stefano Mirti, Remo Richetti with the contribution of the GT community. Under this tag are collected some related posts.

UNPACKED Studio is a professional practice based in Rome (Italy) operating within the traditional fields of architecture and urban planning but also interested in exploring the contemporary through other creative approaches.

UNPACKED Studio provides services in the fields of Design, Communication, Architecture, Urban Planning, Participatory Process, Innovative Education and Research.

// Mission

UNPACKED Studio is a common ground for speculations over cross-fertilizing projects involving several professionals from diverse disciplines. We like experimenting cutting-edge approaches between digital and analog.

// Who we are

UNPACKED Studio has been founded by Daniele Mancini and Irene Rinaldi, both architects and educators.

Daniele Mancini is Ph.D. in Theory of Architecture. He worked in France at Jakob+ MacFarlane Architects and in The Netherlands at Wiel Arets Architects. He is currently involved in teaching activities at IED Istituto Europeo di Design di Roma.

Irene Rinaldi worked in Spain at De La Puerta Architects and in Italy at Schiattarella Associati where participated to the design of Italian Pavillon for the Japan Expo 2005 in Aichi (Nagoya)

UNPACKED Studio started in January 2005 thanks to the Young Entrepreneurs European funds “Sviluppo Italia”.
