On Friday, the 29th, a group of students from Rome’s La Sapienza Faculty of Architecture coordinated by Daniele Mancini (UNPACKED Studio) and a group of teachers and students from the Civita Castellana Art Institute led by Katia Millozzi, will create a series of inflatable objects and spaces with the participation of the public and above all involve children and parents in reflecting on the role of architecture, urban planning, economics, sustainability and art in the life and governance of a city. The title of the event is “From each according to ability, to each according to need” and refers to the idea of participatory planning for the future of our community.

Nella giornata di venerdi 29, un gruppo di studenti della facoltà di architettura di Roma La Sapienza coordinati da Daniele Mancini (UNPACKED Studio) e un gruppo di docenti e studenti dell’Istituto d’Arte di Civita Castellana guidati da Katia Millozzi, realizzeranno una serie di oggetti e spazi gonfiabili con la partecipazione della cittadinanza e soprattutto coinvolgeranno bambini e genitori a riflettere sul ruolo dell’architettura, dell’urbanistica, dell’economia, della sostenibilità e dell’arte nella vita e nel governo di una città. Il titolo dell’evento è “Da ciascuno secondo capacità, a ciascuno secondo necessità” e si riferisce all’idea di una progettazione partecipata del futuro della nostra collettività.

// Who we are

UNPACKED Studio has been founded by Daniele Mancini and Irene Rinaldi, both architects and educators.

Daniele Mancini is Ph.D. in Theory of Architecture. He worked in France at Jakob+ MacFarlane Architects and in The Netherlands at Wiel Arets Architects. He is currently involved in teaching activities at IED Istituto Europeo di Design di Roma.

Irene Rinaldi worked in Spain at De La Puerta Architects and in Italy at Schiattarella Associati where participated to the design of Italian Pavillon for the Japan Expo 2005 in Aichi (Nagoya)

UNPACKED Studio started in January 2005 thanks to the Young Entrepreneurs European funds “Sviluppo Italia”.
